IMPORTANT SERVICE BULLETIN
I thank you again for your continued loyalty.
As many of you know, and we wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of changes within the Toshiba Telephone System product line.
As many of you are aware Toshiba terminated operations of its Telecommunication Systems Division in the United States and Canada on May 21, 2017.
Here are some important deadlines of which you should be aware as they impact the viability of your phone system.
As of October 31, 2019, Toshiba software and licenses will no longer be available for CIX, IPEDGE, and IPEDGE APP Server systems. this applies to station, mailbox, trunk and any license required to expand or modify a Toshiba Telephone system. We suggest that if you have plans to expand your Toshiba telephone system in the near future, that you purchase additional licenses while they are still available.
IPEDGE and APP Server customers also have until June 30, 2019 to take advantage of reduced pricing for Software Update Service (SUS) via the Top It Off discount program. This provides manufacturer support for these systems through October 31, 2021. Any bug fixes, software updates (if any) are included, as is the availability of manufacturer technical resources in the event their expertise is required to help with a service issue.
Compu-Phone will continue to support our Toshiba system clients for service, adds, moves and changes, but we will no longer offer Service and Maintenance Agreements. New Toshiba parts are no longer available, but for the foreseeable future, we expect to have an ample supply of used and refurbished products.
This may be a good time to evaluate your future telephone system needs. We at Compu-Phone have a number of options for state-of-the-art premise-based as well as cloud or hosted telephone systems.
